Meta-analysis of continuous outcomes that were measured preinterventions and postinterventions are challenging. The pooled estimate, which represents a difference between two changes, can be difficult to clinically interpret and apply to patient care. We present a clinical scenario and a guide for evidence-based medicine learners to facilitate interpretation and application of such estimates.
